We are currently undergoing our yearly review and tax preparation. Upon completion of these two items, The El Dorado Estates Association Annual Meeting has been tentatively scheduled for Monday, April 12, 2010 at 6:30 PM.  Look for further information to come in the following weeks.

We also have two positions on the Board up for election this year. Howard Melton and Dale Wilson have completed their two year term. If you are interested in running for the Board of Directors, please contact the office for more information. Your community thanks you!

REMINDER

March 14th begins Daylight Savings Time. Don’t forget to move your clocks ahead!

BUTTERFLY GARDEN

We are sure many of you have enjoyed our beautiful butterfly garden behind the playground by the club house.  It has grown very nicely with an abundance of Butterflies and Caterpillars!  Throughout the year, it requires trimming of plants to keep the garden neat.  The last clean up was such a huge success. So many people turned out to help that it was done in just a couple of hours. With Spring and time for growth right around the corner, we will be scheduling another garden trimming in the near future. Please look for further information in the April Pipeline.

NEXT BULK PICK UP: THURSDAY MARCH 4th & APRIL 8th

REMINDERS:

GARAGE SALES:

Garage sales on residential property are limited to 2 per year .You must notify the board of your garage sale in advance. One (1) sign may be placed at the residence and no more than three (3) directional signs may be permitted within the swale of any two lane street with residential properties on both sides and set back five (5) feet from the edge of pavement.

PARKING OVER SIDEWALKS:

No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or traffic control device, in any of the following places:

On a sidewalk; do not block sidewalks with your car, forcing pedestrians on foot and/or bicycle to leave the safety and purpose of the sidewalk.

CLUBHOUSE RENTALS & GARBAGE REMOVAL:

When using the clubhouse, it is the resident’s responsibility to remove all garbage bags from the premises. They are not permitted to be left on the swales in front of the clubhouse, even if they are in blue bags. Garbage pickup is not until Monday and Thursday evening and garbage is not permitted on the swales until Sunday and Tuesday night.

BUILDING NUMBERS:

All homes shall have numbers located on the building or in the front yard clearly visible from the adjacent road. The numbers shall be at least three inches in height and in a contrasting color.

COMMERCIAL VEHICLES:

The parking of commercial vehicles viewable from the street is strictly prohibited, not only by our By-Laws and Covenants & Restrictions, but also by the City of Plantation.

All commercial vehicles must be completely enclosed in a garage, within the confines of a carport, or parked behind a fence or shrubbery that cannot be seen through.

The City of Plantation will begin issuing citations for commercial vehicles parked in residential areas when work is not being performed. For Code Enforcement please call, 954-797-2267.

GARBAGE AND BULK PICK UP:

It is unacceptable to leave garbage, bulk waste, and yard debris on your swales for days. Garbage bags and bulk pick up items can only be placed curb side the night before pickup is scheduled. Not only does this prevent outsiders from roaming our streets looking for odds and ends, it also keeps the properties from looking disagreeable.

Please be sure to keep yard debris, broken furniture, old signs, and the like stored in your garage or back yard until the night before bulk pick up. Remember not to leave these items leaning against the sides of your home where they can be seen from the street.
